This is a big deal for me both personally and professionally. I first received accreditation way back in 2005, since when I have had the privilege of representing hundreds of injured people and, sadly, far too many bereaved families of loved ones, killed on military duty, or at work and on our roads.
Accreditation is a mark of quality and specialism. Look out for it folks. It sets your lawyer apart from others:
‘Personal Injury Accreditation is a recognised quality standard for practitioners representing victims and their dependents in personal injury matters. The accreditation covers all work done on behalf of claimants and their dependents, who have suffered personal injuries or fatal injuries as a result of an alleged act of negligence or breach of statutory duty’
Being accredited:
You are at your lowest ebb and feeling vulnerable. However, you must choose your personal injury lawyer very carefully. Facebook and Instagram is awash with self-titled personal injury experts, most of whom are claims management companies who are harvesting your personal data to sell on.
Do they have a proven track record of success and Personal Injury Accreditation, a peer assessed hallmark of quality, one which sets them apart from others?
If they are not accredited, ask them why not. Read the client testimonials. Read their lawyer profiles. If there are none listed, you need to wonder why.
Read their case studies. Ask them questions: How long have they been pursuing personal injury claims? What experience do they have that sets them apart? What will they deduct from your personal injury damages?
If they can’t answer simple questions to your satisfaction, you need to deduce whether they are right for you.
