Further Information

On Armed Forces Day we have chosen to salute Ian Rivers and ‘Row Sentinel’.

Ian, former of 29 Commando and 22 SAS, last month embarked on a solo crossing of the North Atlantic Ocean from New York City to the UK aboard the ‘Sentinel’, his personally designed rowing boat. Ian is rowing 3100 miles from the USA to the UK. He is alone. GPS? Nope. Only the sun and the stars for Ian, who is using a sextant as his main form of navigation. He who Dares, Wins... Whilst gaining a fab suntan and ripped abs, Ian’s intended aim is to raise much needed funds for the Special Air Service (SAS) Regimental Association and the St Michael’s Hospice in Hereford.  We believe that Ian is now almost halfway. He is alone and unsupported; Folks he is a Living Legend. We implore you to plug in and watch his incredibly brave exploits.
