A new study from the University of Manchester has found that combat veterans are at no greater risk of suidice that the general population.

The study, which was funded by the MOD and NHS England, forms part of research into understanding the causes and rates of suicide in armed forces veterans.  A link to the study is here:

“Could the reason be that troops who have experienced combat are more likely to be risk assessed on their return from the front line, treated properly and treated early?”
